Logan has been well aware of the kitties for some time now. Still, every once in a while, he surprises himself.
"What is THAT?"

"I get it. We just pretend we don't see each other..."

He is actually very fond of his cats now. And at least Miko likes to hang around.

Logan loves looking at magazines and pictures. Here he is catching up on BIKE magazine's latest news

I finally started going thru old boxes of old pictures and Logan decided to help me sort thru them all to see which ones to keep and which ones to shred. He took this job VERY seriously...

"Let's see... I would definitely keep these ones, Mama. You had very big hair."

"We'll make this the 'shred' pile over here..."

The family got all dressed up in matching Hibbiscus for our friends' BBQ. The first of many summer BBQs to come!

Logan met his very first "real" life puppies at the Warren's. He wasn't so sure at first but warmed up to them after a while. They are really sweet dogs.

He also really enjoyed his buddy James' musical instruments. He is definitely drawn to music and musical instruments in general. He gets the love of rhythm and drums from his Mama and hopefully he will get the rest from his Papa:)

Making faces at the puppies and still not sure about the texture of the grass...:)

My very good friend Emily finally got a chance to visit with us and meet Logan. He liked her instantly.

Washing kitty

"Mama, why is my kitty in jail?"

Miko got his quarterly bath today while Logan was napping and I always put him outside to "dry." Logan thought it was pretty strange and kept tapping on the cage. So cute!

Escape is near

"Oh, hi!!! I'm glad you're here to get me now. As you can see, I managed to push down the bumper and lion has almost made it out."

More table manners and pureed foods

We spend a lot of time on the highchair these days now that Logan is having more and more "real food." The Dr suggested we introduce Logan to prunes to ward off any constipation brought about by introduction of said real foods. So we did.

And just so everyone knows, prunes look EXACTLY the same going in the mouth as they do when they come out.

So far, Logan loves everything.

Yet another of my all time favorite gadgets. The safe-feeder. I put an ice cube or a piece of frozen sweet potato or frozen banana... and he goes to town on it. LOVES it.
Totally getting the hang of the sippy cup! I give him an ounce or so after each meal to practice:)

Dirty Diaper Tour

The Dirty Diaper Tour.

Featuring bands such as "The Squirtz," "Fresh Wipes," Captain P and the Stains," "Johnny Crapp and the Royal Flush," "Stink Bombs" and none other than the "Poop Tarts."

He already has good strumming technique. Hopefully he's not tone deaf like his mama...

Scooting his butt backwards... to the beat.

Tati's birthday

It was my birthday last weekend and it was one of the best I've had in a while. It started with sleeping in, getting a massage and then testing for my Brown Belt in Kenpo Karate. It was a great way to start a new year of life, as it made me feel younger, not older :)

Our instructor, Black Belt Hall of Famer, Mr. Bob White. I adore him.

My Kenpo sister, Elizabeth tested for Black belt :) She rocks.

Thank you to my ever so supportive husband for helping me get the time in to train and continue to pursue the things I most have a passion for (besides being Logan's mama!)

The day just got better, after the test we went out to Laguna Beach for drinks, breathtaking views and good friends...

Continuing the party into the late hours at Elizabeth and Justin's house for a delicious Carne Asada BBQ and more good times...

Meanwhile, Logan was at home with Gramma working on his own moves.

A hearfelt Thank you to my mom for always being there for me/us and for watching Logan so Daddy and I could have a date and celebrate with our friends. And mom and dad, thanks for having me all those years ago! :)

Lunch at the pool

Really enjoying being outside in the wonderful weather we had last week,
my little man:

Having fun looking up at the palm trees...

Which left Logan tired enough to nap out on the grass...

Pure sweetness.

Logan: SIX MONTHS

Logan is officially half a year old. I decided I am not doing the "week by week" age thing anymore. How do you know when to stop? He'll be 10 years old and I'll still be saying: "Oh, he's 480 weeks."

So even though he is over 26 weeks old (so that would make him what, 6.5 months old?) well, the 11th of May marks 6 calendar months since he was born. The normal people's way of counting.

Logan's 6-month check-up with his pediatrician went pretty smoothly. Current stats:

Height: 28.5 inches (97th percentile)

Weight: 20 lbs (90th percentile)

Head circumference: > 98th percentile. Off the charts! (Big hed)

Things to write home about this month

Logan is:
1) Trying to sit up on his own. He can sit for a few minutes then he likes to face-plant. He really wants to crawl... he gets frustrated when he kicks frantically and he's still in the same place...
2) Has outgrown his infant carseat and is now in a big boy carseat.
3) Eating a wide array of natural and yummy foods in addition to his nursing or bottle.
4) Well, I should call it like it is. He's eating EVERYTHING, including things that aren't food.
5) His two bottom teeth have broken thru.
6) He is talking up a storm, making pterodactyl and ambulance noises being his specialty.
7) Has figured out how to dial out on my iPhone.
Oh, and
8) His poop, is no longer "cute."

Big Boy car seat

Reeeeeally wants to crawl...

Everything in the mouth... including himself
