Christmas with the Schultz via YouTube

My sister in law, Laura and her family live in New Jersey so we don't get to see them for Christmas (not so far! But hopefully one day we can come out there) This year we drew names and Dan and I received presents from Laura and Ron, and the kids. They also were so kind as to send some very cool presents to Logan. We decided to capture him opening their presents so they could see him... I'm so glad we did. It's pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself... and if you can sit thru a > 5 minute video of a kid that's not yours ;) (At least make it to the 3 minute, 20 sec mark, it's heart-melting)

Thank you SO much for the great presents, Laura, Ron, Erica and Ryan! We love them all.

Mud Warrior

"What? Oh, THIS old thing? Oh, yeah, it's nothing. Just my new MUD WARRIOR 4x4."

"Weeeeeee!"

Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE being a boy Mama?

Christmas week, eve and Christmas Day

By the time Christmas Day arrived Logan had the hang of this present opening stuff. And we spent such a nice family day together.

Mag-5 Firetruck. I love my little boy!

Riding on our friend's Easy Roller on Christmas Eve:)

Sweet boy! This day he was opening presents and spending time with his grandparents

"I want to wear this now!"

"See? It looks cuter on me:)"

"A car!? It's a CAR!"

Mama got a Djembe from Santa this year... and that is pretty darn cool! Of course, Logan had to check it out too. The day after Christmas, playing with his new toys... it's not always fun and games. He was SO frustrated with this one! So funny. And as you can see, he is standing really well by himself now!
And as a Christmas present to us, he did take two steps in front of both of us ON Christmas day! :)

Annual family and friends Christmas party

Something tells me that Logan may not remember his first annual family and friends Christmas party in 2009...

But we are pretty sure this one has left an impression. It was great to host and have everyone together: the original Halladas (as usual, we miss you Ron, Laura and kids!), the Heilmans (x2 generations), the Newmans, the Oberons (x2 generations) the Haas (x2 generations), the Fraileys and the Monroes! Logan was pretty overwhelmed by it all (because of his signature serious face when he's overwhelmed) but he had a blast. He loved getting new books... And hanging out with both of his parents on the same day:)
The kids enjoyed the music session as usual...
I just love this shot of Ellie and Avery!
Logan getting a piece of the Djembe action with uncle John

A great shot of a lot of the boys:)
A few of the girls....
And the kitties.
There are way more pictures than I can post on this blog so I will be sending all the ones I have to everyone via Shutterfly. Thanks to everyone for being a part of it and keeping the tradition alive.

Santa's little helper elf

We went back to see Santa this past weekend. Please note how Logan is about to "pinch" Santa's hand off of him... hilarious.

Santa's little elf.

"Are you absolutely SURE the remote control is not in here?"

Winter time at the beach... can't beat it!

The amazing beach weather we have been having found me at the beach several times and on two occassions I subjected Logan to a photo shoot. Imagine THAT. I must say we did pretty good in the great picture department with the amazing backgrounds and sunsets!

My little crawling GQ model... (the Q stands for Qute:)

He looks like he's hailing a cab...lol

Here he was waving at the waves... so funny!

To make our child sit still for pictures, I give him a piece of Trader Joe's roasted sea weed...

It is the weirdest thing, but he absolutely LOVES it... hilarious.

Yum. Yum.

Trucks, cars, buses and vans, oh, my!

In case anybody is wondering, it's all about trucks these days.

Currently, Logan will not play with ANYthing that is not a truck/car/vehicle of some sort.

Well, except maybe this tent that has been a total hit... but notice he is driving his trucks in and out of the tent.

Happy boy:)

Tree lighting ceremony

A few hotels in the area have had some very nice Christmas and Holiday events. A few weeks ago, we went to the tree lighting ceremony at the Ritz. As usual, Logan took it VERY seriously. I mean, you don't just light up a tree every day.

Super cool "Woody" made up like a ginger bread house... cookies and candy, etc. All edible.

Gorgeous view, sunset and son:)

Was pretty proud to be sitting on the big boxes...:)

With Papa, watching the actual tree lighting. Love.

I believe in Santa Claus

Logan met Santa Claus for the very first time and he was just trying to figure out what the big deal was... Let's just say in another year or two he will be VERY interested and excited to see Santa and that is going to be the best thing ever (for his parents!)

Seeing Santa thru Logan's eyes was one of the most amazing feelings we have ever felt. Even if he didn't know what was going on, there just is an undeniable sweetness in a sweet jolly Santa and a small child on his lap... especially when it's your own child on Santa's lap. Nothing sweeter. He wasn't scared of Santa. Not exactly excited, either, but not scared.
After a few minutes of somewhat interest he was ready to be picked up from Santa's lap and on to other things once again. HO! HO! HO!
